Get Up And Give

I started Get Up And Give to help people experiencing homelessness in downtown Los Angeles. Since July, I’ve been going out every other week, collecting donated clothes, getting them cleaned, and giving them directly to people who need them.

What started as a simple way to give back has grown into something I care deeply about. By showing up consistently, I’ve built relationships in the community and seen firsthand how much more is needed.

I want to provide more than clothing. I want to offer clean underwear, socks, blankets, soap, towels, water, food, and basic hygiene kits. With the recent heat in Los Angeles, having enough water and food has become especially important.

So far, I’ve been paying for everything myself, but the cost of supplies is becoming more than I can afford. I don’t want to stop—I want to keep going and reach even more people.

    Get Up & Give proudly accepts in-kind donations from individuals, businesses, restaurants, brands, and organizations that want to support our mission.

    In addition to monetary contributions, we welcome useful goods and resources such as clothing, hygiene products, bottled water, non-perishable food, blankets, socks, backpacks, and other essential items that can be distributed directly to people in need throughout Los Angeles.
